A lot has happened over the summer. We had a billboard up on Columbia Turnpike. Every news crew interviewed somebody from our group in front of it at one point or another. We have been emailing and writing letters of opposition to the Gaming Commission Facility Location Board. A Town Board member withdrew her support. Another was forced into recusal. The lawsuit was amended to include the "prohibitive conflict of interest." We went door to door and gathered petition signatures at Farmer's Markets and events. The Gaming Commission noted that the EG casino proposal is the only one in the Capital District with opposition. The press took note:
"But Capital View also has powerful opposition, local anti-casino group Save East Greenbush is so well-organized, the State Gaming Commission had to take notice. 'The only one I'm receiving notices of opposition to the project, is on this project,' said Kevin Law, the NYS Casino siting board chairman." - Time Warner Cable News
